How to Grow Beet Microgreens at Home

Step 1: Choose Quality Seeds

·         Use high-quality, non-treated beet microgreens seeds suitable for microgreen growing.

Step 2: Soaking the Seeds

·         Soak seeds in water for 8–10 hours to improve germination.

·         Drain and rinse before planting.

Step 3: Prepare the Tray

·         Use a wide tray with drainage holes.

·         Tray depth should be 2–3 inches.

Step 4: Soil Preparation

·         Use soft, well-draining soil.

·         Fill tray with 2–3 inches of soil and level evenly.

Step 5: Planting the Seeds

·         Spread seeds evenly and closely on the soil surface.

·         Press gently into the soil.

·         Cover lightly or place another tray on top for 2–3 days (blackout period).

·         After sprouting, move to a sunny location.

Step 6: Watering

·         Keep soil moist but not soggy.

·         Water lightly daily.

·         Use bottom watering after sprouting to avoid fungus.

Step 7: Harvesting

·         Ready in 8–14 days.

·         Harvest when 3–4 inches tall.

·         Cut above the soil using clean scissors.

·         Store in fridge up to 5 days.
